My favorite plein air experience so far–A wonderful afternoon spent in a peaceful setting on Skegemog Point Road in Williamsburg, Michigan. I was able to complete 80% of this painting on site, added the grass and tweaked the tree stump then sold to a very interesting gentleman from Wisconsin! Thanks Bob, Enjoy!

Double the viewing pleasure with this reflection pond amid the coral. Great memory from a recent scuba diving trip with even greater friends.

Sorry for the blurry picture, but how appropriate. This was the result of my first ever Plein Air Quick Paint competition and it was in of itself, a blur!
Done at Fountain Point Resort in Lake Leelanau, Michigan, during the inaugural Paint Grand Traverse week. How lucky I was to be able to participate let alone sell my painting while it was still wet! We had just 2 hours to complete our work, frame it, and submit for judging. I was drawn to this cottage because of the immense peeling that was going on next to the old fashioned screen door with all of its intricacy. A little intimidating to attempt the siding and gingerbread but I gave it a valiant effort. It was exhilarating (and a little stressful). I forgot to take a picture of it before I turned it in but was able to grab this very bad photo inside the gallery as it was sold. I am so thrilled and amazed! (I think I will try it again at a slower pace–I really like doors!)
